Don Patterson, Stimson Lumber Company, Inc., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Don has over 35 years of experience in forest inventory, geographic information systems, and forest modeling in the private forestry sector and is currently the Forest Inventory and GIS Manager for Stimson Lumber in the Inland region. He received his B.S. in Forest Management and a M.S. in Forest Science from the University of Idaho. He represents Stimson Inland in the Inland Empire Tree Improvement Cooperative (IETIC), the Intermountain Forestry Cooperative (IFC) and the Inland Northwest Grow and Yield Cooperative (INGY) where he served as the Steering Committee Chairman for almost two decades. Don oversees the growing of 3.5 million seedlings annually across several northwest nurseries and is the current Director of IETIC’s White Pine Seed Orchard Group.

Don is an avid fly fisherman and white water rafter, constantly seeking new opportunities to combine both pursuits. He enjoys hiking and backpacking during the warmer seasons and closely follows Gonzaga basketball in the fall and spring.
